Reviews

This is a great asset for new managers. It is broken down into 11 articles that cover various aspects of leadership, from managing the team you get to networking to managing your boss. The articles are unrelated to each other and can be read in any order at any time. They are also written by different authors so each have their own style. They all come with little sidebars that highlight key points. Like any leadership book, the principles make perfect sense but the difficulty is often in applying them consistently. I also like this book because it focuses on new managers, whereas a lot of the material out there is from successful leaders and by definition, they are higher up in the hierarchy and often have different focal points.
